First of all, it is brave of you to reach out for help with what has likely been troubling you for some time. Many of us carry the weight of our stress, painful thoughts and memories alone and are unwilling to risk exposing our vulnerability to someone who may not validate it. I am committed to creating a safe space for you to share as well as collaborate with you to explore and discover the root of the reasons you’ve chosen therapy at this time. I am passionate about the counseling profession because it models a relationship based on empathy, active listening, and unconditional positive regard.
My professional experience consists of working with children and adults of all ages in individual, couples, and family therapy settings, utilizing the approaches of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and the Gottman Method in creating and implementing personalized treatment plans. With a focus on the here-and-now we will create objectives, identify what may be hindering a desired level of function and wellbeing, and work together to create the healthier lifestyle you came to counseling to address.
It is truly a privilege to listen and to be a part of your process of change and I look forward to working together to help you take back control of your life.
