In my line of work, I meet people from different walks of life and with each person I find something that links them as we’re all human. As humans, we can expect to have a life that has natural ups and downs. My goal as a clinician is to join you on that ride with empathy, validation, and understanding. Along the way, I plan to collaborate with you to provide you with the skills to manage the ride and let it flow through you rather than becoming a stomach-turning rollercoaster. As we continue to experience changes in society, the world, and our personal lives, we all need support. You are the expert of your life, and I am here to provide that support needed to reach your goals.
I graduated from California State University, San Marcos with a BA in Human Development with an emphasis in Counseling Services and a Master of Social Work (MSW). I have clinical experience with children, adolescents, adults, and families. I have completed training and utilized Functional Family Therapy (FFT) with families seeking an increase in their family bonding and communication. I apply an array of evidence-based practices such as Motivational Interviewing (MI), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I strive to collaborate with clients through a trauma-informed lens while also encouraging them to challenge themselves outside of their comfort zone. Some strengths of mine as a clinician are my openness to feedback from my clients in how I can be more effective to meet their needs and eagerness to continue learning new modalities and techniques I can apply.
I am inspired by your openness to the therapeutic process and commitment to seeking change. You taking this step tells of your courage and strength. I look forward to sitting next to you on the ride and assisting you in finding relief and feeling your best!
